SKIPMOVE·Super-app · TH·2020 · SHIPPED·Full build — mobile + backend + ops · 3 services

A Thai on-demand super-app — rides, food, parcels — built end to end, in one team.

SKIPMOVE is a Grab-style super-app we built ground-up for an SME founder: ride-sharing, food ordering, and parcel delivery on one platform with one shared rider network. Customer, driver, and merchant apps; dispatch; payments; ops back-office. From spec to launched, with a senior crew that owned every layer.

A Thai SME founder came to us with a spec and a deadline. They wanted Grab-style coverage of three on-demand businesses — rides, food, and parcel delivery — without three separate platforms. One rider network, one customer app, one back-office.

We owned the whole stack. Three mobile apps on iOS and Android (customer, driver, merchant). A dispatch service that matches the right rider to the right job in real time, whether that job is a passenger, a meal, or a package. Payments integration tuned to local methods. A back-office for ops to dispatch manually when an edge case hits. Maps and routing, tuned for Bangkok where the off-the-shelf defaults aren't enough.

The wins of a ground-up build compound. Because one team owns the whole flow, the dispatch service knows what the driver app expects. The payments integration is shaped for the customer app. The merchant onboarding piece talks to the same data model as the rider one. No integration layer in the middle that everyone has to reverse-engineer.

We shipped the full platform to launch. The business has since wound down, but the studio playbook came out of this one — shared seniors across mobile and backend, fast iteration cycles, AI in the toolchain so we could move at SME speed without an SME-quality result.
