A Bangkok studio building software + AI for clients who care about the long tail.
Bytemotion was founded in 2020 by Rathakit as a solo engineering studio out of Bangkok. We started doing frontend work for Thailand's state-enterprise electricity authority. Today we ship software and AI for Thai clients — SMEs, state enterprises, and ambitious founders — with the same crew, the same standards, just much faster.
- Before
Scaling consumer products
Pre-Bytemotion, Rathakit served as CTO and VP Engineering at PanyaLive — Thailand's twice-daily live-trivia show with real prize money. Scaled the live quiz engine to ~90,000 concurrent users at peak across a 1.5M-registered userbase, on a startup budget.
- 2020
Founded
Bytemotion launches as a one-person studio. The first engagement is SKIPMOVE — an SME-funded Grab-style super-app (rides, food, parcels) we build full-stack from spec to launch.
- 2021
State-enterprise frontend work
Bytemotion takes on MEA EV and MEA Connext — frontend leadership for Thailand's electricity authority. The customer mobile apps for the national EV rollout, plus the internal HR platform used by MEA staff and partner state enterprises.
- 2023
Healthcare SaaS feature work
Hubswitch — a dental clinic platform. We come in as a feature partner on selected modules.
- 2024
Door opens to AI
SimpStay — our first AI-native product. An AI guidebook for short-stay hosts. RAG, evals, the works.
- 2025–2026
Selectively booked
Currently building an NDA multi-channel e-commerce platform, plus part-time AI Workflow Engineer work at an AI startup in Bangkok. Two engagements at a time, by design.
A trusted bench, brought in by project.
Bytemotion is the founder plus a trusted bench of senior engineers — mobile, backend, AI, infra — we've shipped production work with for years. They join by project, never on rotation. The mix scales with the work; the senior standard doesn't move.
Three things we won't compromise on.
Senior people on the keys.
No juniors-on-rotation, no body-shop tactics. If you engage us, the founder and senior collaborators are writing the code.
AI in our toolchain.
Copilots and custom agents do the scaffolding so humans can spend their time on architecture and judgement. That's the speed unlock.
You own everything.
Code, prompts, infrastructure, model accounts. Hand-back anytime. No lock-in, no surprise vendor hostage situations.

Bytemotion is one engineer's bet that small senior teams using AI well ship better software than big teams using it badly.
I started Bytemotion in 2020 as a solo engineer. Six years and six clients later, the bet is paying off — AI in our toolchain means a hand-picked crew can ship what used to take a much bigger team.
I'm intentionally selective on client load. Right now I'm building one NDA e-commerce platform and working part-time as an AI Workflow Engineer at an AI startup in Bangkok. That's it — by design. I'd rather do two things well than six things badly.
If that's the kind of team you want building your thing, let's talk.
